Brawler Cup 9: The Masquerade Brawl - Results
We had a enthusiastic bunch this last Friday participating in four events. The theme of the event was that appearing in costume gave players an additional stock to use in events. Players appearing in costume as the character they were playing earned two additional stocks for events. I'm very pleased to report all players had a costume of some sort.
We had two trophies for costumes for the night and Andrew was awarded both the Best Costume and the You Tried categories. Turns out having two costumes for one party swings the vote quite well.
The first event of the evening was the Survival Event. Participants fought a 1v6 match with 8-10 stocks vs opponents with 1-3 stocks. The player attempting to survive was also allowed to choose the battlefield. The event was score by time survived with the tie breaker being kills achieved. In an unexpected turn of events, I actually managed to eliminate all the enemy players through a combination of luck and a deadly map.
Results:
1st: Ryan - Eliminated all enemies
2nd: Andrew - 13:46 - 4 KO's
3rd: Eric - 9:10 - 7 KO's
The second event was a five round This Is Sparta! event. Players had between 8-10 stocks for the event depending on costumes. Participants earned points for placing, 1st earned 3 points, 2nd earned 2 points and 3rd earned 1 points per round.
Results:
1st: Brynna - 8 points
2nd: Andrew - 7 Points
3rd: Tony - 5 points
The third event was the Not That! event. The event was a single elimination type A bracket event. The characters that players would use were picked by the other participants by committee. Their goal was to pick a character the player would be uncomfortable with.
Results:
1st: Tony - Rosalina & Luma
2nd: Red - Pirahna Plant
3rd: Andrew - Ryu
We finished the night with the Brawler Cup. We had a number of well fought battles.

1st: Ryan - Cloud
2nd: Tony - Link
3rd: Red - Greninja
